What are Cookies and what information do they collect?

Like most companies, we also automatically collect and store certain information from Intersect users. This may include your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address or device ID, login timestamp, the browser type and version, and the operating system of the computer. This information is logged to help us to diagnose technical problems and to administer Intersect.

We also use this information to monitor, analyze and administer Intersect, including to monitor usage, analyze trends, administer Intersect, personalize the user experience, and gather broad demographic information about our users.

To collect this information, we use a variety of technological tools including cookies: A cookie is a small data file that is sent from a website and stored on your computer or device.  Cookies allow us to recognize your browser when you return to Intersect, to serve certain features, to better understand how you interact with Intersect, and to monitor aggregated usage of our sites.

Session and Persistent Cookies

We may place session and persistent cookies on your device. The difference between a session and a persistent cookie relates to the length of time the cookie lasts. Session cookies are cookies that typically last for as long as you are using your browser, or browser session. When you end your browser session, the cookie expires. Persistent cookies, as the name implies, are persistent and will last after you close your browser. This allows, for example, for quicker and often more convenient access to Intersect.
